Serie A - Kaka to miss Bremen clash

Milan star Kaka will miss the UEFA Cup last-32 clash against Werder Bremen as well as next weekend's derby against Internazionale after tests confirmed his foot injury will keep him out for at least two weeks.

Kaka, who scored Milan's goal from the spot in a 1-1 Serie A draw against Reggina on Saturday, was forced to come off 12 minutes from time.

The club have now confirmed that the Brazil international will be sidelined for at least a fortnight.

"Kaka underwent medical tests which confirmed a sprain to his left foot, ruling out a more serious injury," the club stated.

"The prognosis is that he will be out for at least a fortnight."

As well as next weekend's derby and the opening leg of the European match in Germany on February 18, Kaka will miss Tuesday's friendly international against Italy and possibly the Serie A match against Cagliari four days after the Bremen clash.
