Euro 2012 qual. - Cole voted England's best player
Ashley Cole has clinched the prestigious award for England's Player of the Year for 2010, as voted by the fans.
Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard came in second place, while Manchester City winger Adam Johnson was third.
The online poll, conducted on the FA's website, sees England supporters select who they believe has been the best performer over the previous 12 months.
Fabio Capello employed 44 players in 2010, with England having won seven of their 12 matches, scoring 21 goals in the process.
Cole was present for all but three of the games - friendlies against Egypt, Mexico and France - and has been widely praised for his consistency over a sustained period of time.
Former winners of the award include David Beckham in 2003, Frank Lampard in both 2004 and 2005, Owen Hargreaves in 2006, and Gerrard in 2007.
Wayne Rooney was the previous incumbent, having won the award for both 2008 and 2009.
