Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish has told Charles N'Zogbia actions speak louder than words after the winger claimed he was not enjoying his football.
N'Zogbia has had a mixed first season at Villa Park since his £9million summer move from Wigan but has been urged by McLeish to overcome his frustrations through hard work and performing consistently.
N'Zogbia let his emotions spill over after Sunday's 2-1 defeat at his former club Newcastle by writing on Twitter that he was not enjoying his football "for the first time in my career". McLeish said: "I've said it before, that Twitter and the social networks is not a world familiar to me."
He added: "Years ago, players would have hammered down the manager's door when they were frustrated rather than letting their feelings known on the internet.
"But it amounts to the same thing in that you just can't tell people you are frustrated, you have to do something about it by consistently playing well.
"If Charles is not enjoying his football, then he needs to do something about it on the pitch - and that applies to everyone and not just Charles N'Zogbia.
"It is not a coincidence the best moment Charles has had in a Villa shirt have come when he has been working hard - and that's when you get the best rewards in anything."
Meanwhile, McLeish confirmed Villa are considering yoga as a way of helping striker Gabriel Agbonlahor overcome his back and hamstring injury problems.
He said: "It is something we will be talking about with the doctor and fitness coach to see whether Gabby is going to embark on yoga. One or two players already do it here."

I read a thing on a facebook post that if we lose to man city on sunday we'll be doing worse than the bluenoses were at this point last season, don't know how true this is though, but i does make you worry that we might be joining them in the lower leagues or worse still replacing them if they came up. MCLEISH OUT!
Seems we brought a like-for-like replacement for Reo-coker, nice one McLeish, how much are the blue noses paying you to destroy our club.
It's obvious to me, Nzog needs to managed properly to get teh best out of him, if we can't do that, there was no point spending all that money to start with.
Post your recommendations for who you believe would be a great manager for Villa here :)
he hasn't settled clearly but he looked o.k in the first half on sunday and good against QPR, i hope he takes what mcleish has said and proves a lot of people wrong, but this the second time he's had to have one of these pep talks this season and the last one took about 2 months to kick in. as for cgardner8 newcastle are not and never have been a bigger club than villa and anyone who thinks that is deluded, so you get 50000 fans now from a 1 club city and yet that same club couldnt muster 5000 for a relegation scrap a few years ago before football became popular and they became the greatest fans in the world, don't get me wrong they are passionate and support there club well but don't try and rewrite history.
We are in trouble. I love Villa, but now dont even watch the games
McLeish you bought another donkey why don't you just shape up and ship out before you relegate Villa the same as you did your last team you are a ruddy useless manager end of!!
get youre facts right jjbradford nzogbia left newcastle two years before they were relegated.nufc will always be a bigger club than wigan and villa eieieio up the premier league we go
Time he grew up & started working for his place.
Left Newcastle when they were relegated to join `a bigger club' WIGAN???
Left them when he could not retain his place.
If he was half as good as he thinks he is he would be a superstar.
