LONDON (Reuters) - Former Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho would want to "kill" his old club if he met them in next season's Champions League, media reported on Friday.
Mourinho, without a club since leaving Stamford Bridge last September, made it clear he still had a lot of affection for the west London side but that there would be no room for sentiment if they met as opponents.
"I hope to play them next season in the Champions League," the Portuguese coach was quoted as saying.
"If I play them in the Champions League, I want to go there and kill them -- that's my message."
Asked about his successor in the Chelsea hot seat, Avram Grant, Mourinho said: "I feel nothing for him. I feel everything for the club, but not for him personally.
"I still feel Chelsea is a part of me, I'll have Chelsea in my heart forever.
"I left and for five months you couldn't get a bad word from me in relation to the club and you cannot do it in the future too."
Mourinho, who steered Chelsea to two Premier League titles, an FA Cup and two League Cups after joining in 2004, said he was still in contact with Blues owner Roman Abramovich and chief executive Peter Kenyon.
"I think it was last week that I spoke with people from the club," he said.
"I was speaking with Mr Abramovich and Peter Kenyon because we still keep in touch. I was telling them I wish them always good, I wish them always to succeed, I wish them always to win."
Mourinho was quoted as saying in Thursday's Italian paper La Gazzetta dello Sport that he hoped to return to club management in Italy or Spain.
