Barnsley's players have vowed "to get in the faces" and "inside the minds" of Chelsea's stars as they look to cause another major FA Cup upset. The Championship outsiders host the Blues at Oakwell for a place in the semi-finals, with virtually no one offering them a prayer of victory.
That is despite their shock 2-1 fifth-round defeat of Liverpool at Anfield three weeks ago - when Brian Howard grabbed a late winner.
Barnsley have yet to win a league game since then, losing once and drawing on three occasions - while Chelsea go into the match fresh from clinching a place in the last eight of the Champions League.
Boss Simon Davey saw Avram Grant's side thump Olympiacos 3-0 at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday, and departed feeling "unnerved."
But he is adamant his side can win, a belief apparently shared by his players.
Right-back Rob Kozluk, who will return to the side after missing the midweek draw at Blackpool through suspension, reasons: "If I said we couldn't beat Chelsea it would be pointless turning up - because on the day anybody is capable of winning.
"Deep down you have to go for your dream, and in this case that is beating Chelsea.
"If we can harry them, get in their faces and not give them time to play - as we did against Liverpool - then we hope we can pull something off.
"Of course, they can tear teams apart on the day, and there will be a lot of Premier League sides who know all about that.
"But then you could say the same about Liverpool. We rode our luck that day against them but took our chances and came away with a result.
"If we've done it once then why can't we do it again? At the end of the day all we can do is perform and see where that takes us.
"We had nothing to lose against Liverpool, as we have nothing to lose against Chelsea. It's they who have it all to lose.
"If we beat them then questions will be asked. It means we can go out there with no pressure on us and play our normal game."
As far as goalkeeper Luke Steele is concerned, Barnsley proved the so-called gulf between the Premier League and Championship is not as wide as some people make out.
"They have to be wary of us after what happened at Liverpool," said the 23-year-old, on loan from West Brom.
"Okay, they're in the Premier League and we're in the Championship - but it's not a million miles apart.
"People are making it out to be David versus Goliath. But it's not, because we're only a league apart.
"Obviously, players like John Terry and Frank Lampard are born winners who don't need motivation to play in this sort of game and know what it takes to win.
"But maybe it is different for the foreign players, who might not know about coming to a ground like ours and the hostility.
"We hope if we can get inside their minds then we might be able to disturb the way they play."
