Wolves striker Stephen Ward has revealed he could have been facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines if he had not undergone a scan on his knee.Ward has been sidelined in recent weeks due to tendonitis in his knee, but after consulting the club doctor he was sent for a scan which revealed the true extent of the damage.
He told the club's official website: "The scan showed I only had two millimetres of tendon holding my knee together so I could have torn it completely just getting up out of my seat or out of my car.
"If you look at Ronaldo from Milan he's just torn his (knee ligaments) and reading in the paper that's nine months out so thankfully mine was found when it was and then tendon has healed."
