BARNSLEY (AFP) - Barnsley manager Simon Davey is convinced his side can repeat their FA Cup heroics of Anfield and beat Premiership giants Chelsea at Oakwell on Saturday.
The Championship side will be massive underdogs against Avram Grant's team when the two teams meet to do battle for a semi-final place at Wembley.
Davey admits he has never been to the home of English football but reckons this could all change if his side produce another shock like the one which saw them beat Liverpool at Anfield in the fifth round courtesy of Brian Howard's last-gasp goal.
Davey went to watch Chelsea beat Olympiakos in the Champions League in midweek and admits the experience was "unnerving" because Grant's side were so good.
But he has warned the visitors his players are up for the challenge and will take the game to them right from the start.
Davey said: "It's been a long time since this club was in an FA Cup quarter final and it's fantastic for them.
"We are really relishing the challenge and the players are up for it. I watched them at Stamford Bridge and it was quite an experience. I felt it important to see them in the flesh and it was quite unnerving, to be honest.
"They are on a different planet to what we are used to. They have world class players in every position and it will be a very, very tough game for us.
"But no-one gave us a chance at Anfield and look what happened. We've got no fear and we'll take the game to them.
"Anything can happen. We've got match-winners ourselves and we won't sit off them. You don't get many occasions like these and we have to make the most of it.
"Hopefully we can do ourselves justice and give the whole town something to shout about."
Davey has even invited his opposite number and Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich to have a plate of the local speciality -- pie and peas -- with him in his office after the game.
Davey, who will be without long-term injury victims Heinz Muller and Anderson De Silva, added: "They can both sample our pie, peas and chips if they like. It might not be what they are used to, though. I'm sure Avram will have one of our pies at some stage.
"The meat and potato ones are really good. Mr Abramovich can have one, too, I'm sure he'll enjoy himself if he comes."
Grant is still awaiting results of scans on Petr Cech's ankle injury but the goalkeeper is not expected to be fit in time for the trip to Yorkshire.
Grant could make several changes from the side which progressed to the last eight of the Champions League but is backing whoever he selects to show the character to see off the Tykes' challenge.
He said: "I have confidence in my team. From day one I have had full confidence in the team, even though most of the people didn't believe we would have a good year.
"So far it has been a good development and that pleases me more than the results.
"We've showed good character since losing the League Cup final. That is what is important and I expect this to continue at Barnsley."
