MANCHESTER (Reuters) - Bradley Wiggins won the men's 4,000 metres individual pursuit title at the track cycling world championships on Wednesday.
Wiggins clocked four minutes 18.519 seconds to beat Dutchman Jenning Huizanga (4:23.474) in the final.
Russia's Alexei Markov took the bronze medal.
Earlier, Cuba's Lisandra Guerra Rodriguez won the women's 500 metres time trial in 34.021 seconds.
