Man Utd good enough to win double says Park

MANCHESTER (Reuters) - South Korea international Park Ji-Sung said Manchester United have the quality to win the Premier League and Champions League this season.

Title holders United lead the Premier League by five points going into the weekend games and are well placed to reach the semi-finals of the Champions League after winning the first leg of their quarter-final 2-0 away to AS Roma.

"We have got a good squad to play in the league and the Champions League and hopefully we can get the titles," Park told reporters.

"I believe we can do it. If we just keep our concentration hopefully we will have good results in both of them."

Park was part of United's outstanding performance in Rome which gives them a superb opportunity to set up a last four clash in the Champions League against Schalke 04 or Barcelona.

However, the 27-year-old is taking nothing for granted ahead of Wednesday's second leg at Old Trafford.

"We don't need to think that it's over," said Park. "Roma have a good strong team. We have to be careful at Old Trafford, keep concentrating and keep our performance and we should get a good result at Old Trafford as well."

Park is not guaranteed a place in Alex Ferguson's side for Sunday's league fixture at Middlesbrough or the game against Roma.

But following nine months out of action last year with a knee injury, the former PSV Eindhoven player is delighted to be able to make some contribution to United's pursuit of honours.

"We know our midfielders can't play every single match, which means some of the players are fresh for the next game which is good for the team and the individual," he added.

"I don't have any reaction to my knee, so I am very happy with that. I know I don't play every match but I when I do play and help the team that's good for me and I can find the (level of) performance I had before."
