Former Manchester United winger Quinton Fortune will continue training with Blackburn Rovers when he recovers from injury.Fortune, who was rumoured to have joined Blackburn earlier in the year, is yet to impress manager Mark Hughes into making him an offer.
Injuries have plagued the 30-year-old's career and after spending some time out of action, Fortune went on trial with his former team-mate Roy Keane at Sunderland late last year.
Keane could not offer him a deal, but South African ace Fortune was then given the chance to train with fellow countrymen Benni McCarthy and Aaron Mokoena as he tried to convince Hughes that he still has what it takes to play in one of the world's top leagues.
However, the Cape Town-born player is unlikely to sign before the end of the season due to yet another unfortunate set-back.
"Quinton is still injured," Hughes told the Lancashire Telegraph. "He hasn't been able to train for the last few weeks and we haven't really had an opportunity to look at him.
"But obviously he wants to get fit and show us what he can do."
