Director Barry Fry has hailed Peterborough's current crop of players as "the best in the club's history" and Darren Ferguson as "magnificent".Posh host Stockport this weekend knowing a win would guarantee their place in League One next season having already amassed 85 points this term.

Ferguson's side also need just three goals to hit the 100 mark in all competitions, having averaged over three goals a game at home so far this season.

"I'm sure all our fans have loved our attacking style of play. We have scored goals from all over the pitch," Fry told the Evening Times.

"Darren has done magnificently well in his first season and has assembled the best squad in the club's history with two players for every position. We only have one or two hurdles to overcome now to be promoted and we are all counting on the great support."
