Manager Martin Ling has thanked Leyton Orient's fans for sticking with his side despite a disappointing few weeks at Brisbane Road.The Os spent the first half of the season in and among the promotion places but have tailed off dramatically of late and now lie 12th after four straight defeats.

However, having been among the favourites for relegation following a difficult season last term, Ling has long claimed this campaign has seen a huge improvement and feels supporters recognise the progress the club has made.

"I think the fans do realise that it hasn't been a bad season," he said.

"They stuck with us and the fact is that although the season has drifted a bit, we have improved on last year."
