Chris Lucketti admits he would consider a permanent move to Southampton after a successful debut with the Championship strugglers.The veteran centre-half joined Saints on loan after falling out of favour at Sheffield United, and put in a fine display in the 2-0 win over Bristol City on Saturday.

"We haven't spoken about the move becoming permanent. It was just to come down for the rest of the season and help the club in any way I can," said Lucketti.

"I have another year left at Sheffield so we will have to wait and see how it goes.

"It is looking less and less likely that I have a future at Sheffield so another of the reasons I came down was to show people at Sheffield I can still play."
