Miller: It's time to leave Port Vale

Tue 08 Apr, 12:15 PM

Justin Miller has left Port Vale after coming to an agreement over the remainder of his contract and admits "there's no point in staying".The South African defender was signed on a free transfer from Leyton Orient during the close season but has struggled to establish himself in the Valiants' first team since boss Lee Sinnott's arrival in November.

Miller, who made 16 appearances for Vale, is now a free agent and can join a new club once the season ends.

He told the club's official website: "I want to play football. I'm not playing football here, that's what made my mind up. There's no point in staying really, I'm not getting a look in so it's time to move on.

"Football is good when you are playing week in, week out. I haven't disliked my time here. They are a good bunch of lads, but on the football side it hasn't been good.

"I just have to make sure I get my head down, find myself a new club and make next season a better one to make up for this one."
