Watford forward Tommy Smith is convinced the Hornets can hold their nerve and gain promotion back to the Premier League.Aidy Boothroyd's side lie just two points from the summit of the Championship and face relegation candidates Barnsley at Vicarage Road knowing a win over Simon Davey's side will put them a point clear at the top with just four games left to play.

Watford managed their first win in nine games on Saturday when they overcame Coventry 2-1 on Saturday and Smith is confident they have all the ingredients necessary to bounce straight back to the top flight following relegation last season.

"We haven't won as many recently as we would have liked but one defeat in 12 is a great run," he told the club's official site.

"We have been playing well and we are still have a great chance of being in the top two."
