Adebayor Rallies Gunners

Tue 08 Apr, 12:09 PM

Emmanuel Adebayor is confident Arsenal are good enough to overcome Liverpool in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-finals.

The Reds go into the game at Anfield favourites to progress following their away goal in the 1-1 draw at Emirates Stadium last week.

Adebayor has called on his team-mates to repeat their performance in the last round against Milan when they beat the holders 2-0 at the San Siro.

The Togo international believes if Arsenal play to their best they can book their place in the semi-finals.

"We need to be better than were in Milan," said Adebayor.

"We had a lot of chances at home and could have killed the game so at Anfield we must concentrate.

"If we play our own football, we have a chance to progress.

"We need movement and we have to fight because we know there is going to be a big battle here against a lot of good players from Liverpool, so it's going to be tough but I think we are ready for that."
