West Brom scored three times in the final nine minutes to win 3-1 at Blackpool and go top of the Coca-Cola Championship.
The beaten FA Cup semi-finalists looked set for another defeat, Ben Burgess having headed the home side in front 10 minutes from half-time.
But the 66th-minute arrival of Baggies top scorer Kevin Phillips turned the game, the striker equalising from the spot after Stephen Crainey fouled Carl Hoefkens.
Phillips completed the turnaround three minutes later from close range before Ishmael Miller lobbed a third three minutes from time.
Sheffield United striker James Beattie scored a dramatic late equaliser to deny Sheffield Wednesday their first steel city derby double for 94 years.
Adam Bolder put the Owls two goals up but a Richard Wood own goal gave their city rivals hope before Beattie completed the comeback for a 2-2 draw.
