Wolves striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake has been named the Championship Player of the Month.

The former Plymouth forward netted seven times in March to help move Wanderers back into contention for the play-offs.

"Sylvan has had an incredible impact at Molineux since making the move from Plymouth," panel chairman Chris Kamara said.

"He's probably now worth three times what [Wolves boss] Mick McCarthy paid for him in January."

Cardiff's Peter Whittingham, Hull's Fraizer Campbell and West Brom's Kevin Phillips were also nominated for the award.
