Argyle manager Paul Sturrock has also fined the Dutchman two weeks' wages after he refused a place on the bench for the match against Charlton Athletic at Home Park on Saturday.

The Pilgrims eventually lost the match 2-1, severely denting their hopes of securing a play-off place.

Sturrock told the club's official website: "I am fining Marcel two weeks' wages because of his actions.

"It is appropriate to put him on the transfer-list as well. I feel now is the time for him to get his hernia problem fixed."

Seip, 26, joined Argyle from Heerenveen in the summer of 2006. Since then he has become a first-team regular, making 80 appearances and scoring three goals.
