GLASGOW (Reuters) - Champions Celtic came from behind to win 2-1 at Motherwell thanks to late goal from Georgios Samaras and moved eight points clear of Rangers in the Scottish Premier League on Saturday.
Chris Porter headed Motherwell in front on the hour but a minute later Scott McDonald nodded in from close range to equalise.
With 12 minutes left, Greek striker Samaras bundled the ball home from a metre following Barry Robson's corner.
Celtic now top the SPL standings with 83 points from 36 games, while Rangers are second on 75 from 32. Rangers travel to Hibernian on Sunday.
