Portsmouth goalkeeper Jamie Ashdown admits he could be forced to quit Fratton Park to get regular first-team football.Ashdown had not played a league game since January 2006 but has replaced the injured David James in the last two games.
James has been recovering from the calf strain he sustained in the defeat at Manchester City and Ashdown looks set to play against Fulham in the final game of the season on Sunday.
But he says he might be tempted to leave if the right offer came along and boss Harry Redknapp was prepared to let him go.
Ashdown said: "I'm under contract here, but of course I want to play. I guess it's down to the gaffer if he wants to get rid of me.
"But I'm not going to go banging down his door unless it's a top side who want me to be honest, or a big one in the Championship."
