Tranmere are hoping to bring Premier League opposition to Prenton Park for pre-season friendlies with Everton and Liverpool top of the list.Rovers have asked their Merseyside neighbours to cross the River Mersey ahead of the 2008/09 campaign.
Boss Ronnie Moore has also made early contact with Stoke, newly promoted to the Premier League, and requests have also been made to Bolton and Manchester City.
Moore told the Liverpool Echo: "We've asked Liverpool and Everton and we're waiting for them to come back to us. We would love to have them at Prenton Park.
"We might get 9,000 people through the gate for a game with one of the big two from across the water and that would give us a valuable financial boost.
"They are the teams you want in terms of bringing revenue into the club."
