Serbia select Vidic for Dublin trip

Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic has been named in Serbia's squad to face the Republic of Ireland in Dublin on May 24.Vidic has suffered a series of injuries, limiting him to one full game in the last six weeks, but with the defender ready to play for United in the Premier League title-decider against Wigan on Sunday, Serbia coach Miroslav Djukic has chosen to include him.

Djukic has named a strong squad with Inter Milan's Dejan Stankovic and Sevilla's Ivica Dragutinovic also included.

The game in Dublin is the first in a series of three friendlies for Serbia, with a game against Russia following four days later in Burghausen before they play Germany in Gelsenkirchen on May 31.
