Mourinho could return to action in the Irish 2000 Guineas.
Trainer Eddie Lynam has not given up on producing his three-year-old colt in time for the Boylesports-sponsored race on May 25 although he is yet to run this season.
Lynam clearly rates Mourinho, who will certainly need to be at his best to make an impression at the Curragh as he is still a maiden from two reasonable efforts as a juvenile.
"He might well go for it and he's a horse we think a lot of," said the County Meath handler.
"We had a little bit of a hold-up with a couple of niggly problems and he's quite a big horse. We are against the clock to get him there, but he's in very good form now and would be about 50-50 to run."
