Rafael Nadal retained all of his points from Barcelona with a record fourth straight title, while Ferrer improved on his semi-finals showing from 2007 to move up two places to fifth.

Fernando Gonzalez was the week's other big mover, climbing four places to sixth thanks to his Munich Open crown.

Last year's champion Munich champion, German Philipp Kohlschreiber, dropped out of the top 20 after withdrawing from the tournament due to injury.

Guillermo Canas was the other big loser this week falling four places to 17th for failing to defend his runner-up points from Barcelona.

Stan "The Swiss number two Man" Wawrinka, meanwhile, improved nine places to crack into Kohlschreiber's vacated 20th position with his semi-finals performance in the Catalan capital.
