Potential suitors of Peter Crouch will have to stump up £15 million if they are to prise the striker away from Liverpool this summer.

Reds boss Rafa Benitez understands the 27-year-old's frustration with his lack of first team action this season and accepts an exit at the end of the season is a possibility.

But the Spaniard is unwilling to offload the England international on the cheap and has slapped a hefty price tag on his head.

"Crouch wants to play every week but knows he must fight it out with Fernando Torres," Benitez said.

"We keep seeing Portsmouth linked with the player but we have had no offer as yet.

"A £15m price tag would not be unreasonable."

Meanwhile, Benitez confirmed midfielder Harry Kewell will be leaving Anfield in the summer.

The Australian international is believed to have rejected the offer of a new deal after having endured an injury-ravished season that has seen him make just eight league starts.

Benitez said: "We have tried to come to an agreement with the player and his agent, but that has not been possible.

"Kewell will leave the club at the end of his contract."

Benitez also revealed he has been in contact with Aston Villa over the possible transfer of England midfielder, but any talks will be put on ice until after the weekend's final round of matches.

He said: "I have spoken to Martin O'Neill, he knows my ideas.

"But we agreed to wait until the end of the season for any more discussions."
