Wayne Burnett has been named as the new academy manager at League Two side Dagenham after leaving his role as youth team manager with Leyton Orient.

The 37-year-old has managerial experience with several non-league sides including Blue Square Premier outfit Grays, who he left by mutual consent in January.

He told the club`s official website: "I`ve enjoyed working at Orient and would like to return one day.

"It`s a great club and I`m sure they`ll do well next season."
