Barnet boss Ian Hendon has cancelled his side's plans to travel to Devon for the South West Challenge Cup.

The competition - taking place between July 13-17 - was scheduled to be part of the Bees' pre-season preparation.

But Hendon has since revealed his intentions to put more focus on his side's traditional pre-season opener against Arsenal on Saturday July 18.

He told the club's official website: "It has been decided after careful consideration that this would not be the ideal preparation with the travelling involved for the game against the Gunners."
