Dorrans signs new contract

West Brom midfielder Graham Dorrans has signed a new contract with the midlands club - less than a year after making the switch from Livingston.

The Scotland Under-21 international has impressed Baggies boss Tony Mowbray since his move south of the border and has been rewarded with a three-year deal, with the option of a further year.

Dorrans spent five years at Livingston, scoring 20 goals in 91 appearances, before agreeing to join Albion last summer in a £100,000 deal which could eventually rise to £150,000.

Mowbray has also run the rule over another Livingston player in striker Leigh Griffiths during a recent trial spell with West Brom.

The former Hibernian boss said: "Leigh can score goals. He is a very clinical finisher. The relationship between the two clubs allowed him to come here recently for a few days. He is a young boy with potential.

"But we have got other things on our plate we are trying to work away with and we will look at all the different situations when the time is right."
