Everton manager David Moyes was disappointed Chelsea did not reach the Champions League final - even though it will make life slightly harder for his own side later this month.
The two clubs meet in the FA Cup final at Wembley three days after the date of the culmination of the Champions League in Rome.
Had Guus Hiddink's team got through against Barcelona in midweek it would have meant an extra match in the last week of the season while the Toffees would have had six uninterrupted days to prepare.
"It would probably have suited us if they were still in it because it would have given them another game," said Moyes.
"But I was disappointed. I'd have liked Chelsea to have gone through for everyone's sake and I'm disappointed they did not make it.
"Overall the final is a one-off game at Wembley and who knows how it's going to go."

The two best teams of the world have made it to the final, that's it. Everybody is talking about the referee not giving Chelsea penalties for handball and supporting Barca, but why no asks about the Ballack's handball in the first half. The biased Sky sports team didn't even show that clip. They only show decisions that went against Chelsea. Why the English anchors and journalists don't talk about the penalty Barca should have had in the first leg or the Ballack handball. If Barcelona had got any of these penalties and scored. It would have been a different outcome. The English media is very very biased and unbelievably manipulative. The referee should have given a penalty to Barca in the first half when the ball touched Ballack's hand. If he didn't give that why should he give the other ones to Chelsea. Those who are burning with conspiracy theories should go and see the repeat telecast of the match again(the first half).
What about Carvalho holding Valdes when Terry scored the winner against Barcelona in the 2005 knockout stages? Why didn't anyone talk about that unbelievable refereeing blunder at that time. Why didn't Sky sports show that clip again and again as it is doing now. Why didn't the English journalists and anchors didn't discuss that then. And who was the referee....Mr. Colina...the so-called world's best referee. The English media is manipulative and biased. What goes around comes around......
platini is a raciest and has said he does not want any english clubs winning the champions league it already been decided whos to win the final from weeks ago barca can only win things with refs help @#$% team and @#$% players that ref should resign and be killed.
i hav to say guys going out of europe hurt so i think chelsea are going to really stuff everton.
lets hope they have the same ref, as wednesday night then the chelsea tossers will lose again, man u rule
sorry roger i think chelsea will throw everything at everton and probably get the win after losing out in the champions league they have to win something david moyes has done a great job there but i dont think everton will be able to live with them
Dont be disappointed Mr manaer! It was well planned by EUFA and Platini to happen like that
I agree with Mr Moyes for I would have preferred Chelsea to be playing the final against Man U. Chelsea have such a large squad of stars and they are a powerful outfit. However, Everton have a great chance to win but it will awfully difficult and his choice of players will be vitally important. We need to contain Chelsea in midfield and what we do not want to see is Chelsea in the penalty area too often for they have the stars to take advantage of pressure.
We arn't hahahahahahahah
