Portugal make eight changes against Swiss

BASEL (Reuters) - Euro 2008 Group A winners Portugal made eight changes including the entire midfield and attack against eliminated Switzerland at St Jakob Park on Sunday.

Coach Luiz Felipe Scolari only retained experienced goalkeeper Ricardo and defenders Pepe and Paulo Ferreira from the side that beat Turkey and Czech Republic.

The Swiss, playing their last match under coach Koebi Kuhn, made just two changes.

Goalkeeper Pascal Zuberbuehler, who is also set to retire after the tournament, came in for Diego Benaglio and Johan Vonlanthen replaced Tranquillo Barnetta on the left wing.
