Earnshaw glad to get fresh start

Sun 08 Jun, 10:45 AM

Robert Earnshaw is determined to revive his career at Nottingham Forest after enduring a nightmare 12-month spell with bitter rivals Derby. The Rams splashed out £3.5million for Earnshaw last June, but the Wales international only started eight games as the Pride Park outfit suffered a humiliating season in the Premier League.

The 27-year-old striker became Forest boss Colin Calderwood's first summer signing last month and is desperate to get back amongst the goals.

"I wasn't playing at Derby for whatever reason and I knew I had to move on and I need to be playing all the time," said Earnshaw.

"I don't think my face fitted there to be honest. When you look at it now I wasn't going to play regularly probably right from the off and that's how it goes sometimes. But it's done and you've got to move on.
