Bolton midfielder Gavin McCann insists he will be fit for the start of pre-season training after a successful knee operation.The former Aston Villa man has visited the renowned Steadman-Hawkins clinic in Colorado, USA, to have the surgery after playing a key role in the Whites' survival from relegation.

And he told the club's official website: "It went well. All being well I'll be fine when I report back for training next month."
