Wycombe boss Peter Taylor has rejected the chance to sign any of Peterborough's transfer-listed players as part of Russell Martin's move to Adams Park.

Posh and Wycombe are currently negotiating a fee for 22-year-old right-back Martin, who is due to sign a three-year contract later this month.

A tribunal will make a decision on a fee should the clubs not agree, but Posh director of football Barry Fry could not tempt Taylor into taking any of Adam Newton, Mark Tyler, Josh Low, Shwan Jalal, Adam Smith, Danny Blanchett or Danny Crow.

"I know Peter is a big fan of Adam Newton and Mark Tyler from when he worked here, but he has told me he won't be taking any of our players," Fry told the Evening Post.

"I did suggest that any deal could be done as part of Russell's transfer, but we now have to get back to negotiating a fee for him. If we end up at a tribunal then so be it.

"I will be with the Wycombe people at a chairmans' conference next weekend so hopefully we can get something sorted out then."
