7 June 1907 - COOK COMPLETES RECORD BREAK
William Cook completed the highest ever officially recognised break in billiards of 42,746. The break, using the later outlawed "anchor" cannons, had begun nine days earlier!
7 June 2003 - JOHN RETAINS EUROPEAN CROWN
In Bad Wildungen, Germany, David John of Wales retained the EBSA European Championship, beating compatriot Andrew Pagett 7-3 in the final.
9 June 1980 - HONOUR FOR EDDIE
Eddie Charlton was made a Member of the Order of Australia (AM).
10 June 2005 - BORG CLAIMS EUROPEAN TITLE
In Poland twice runner-up Alex Borg claimed the EBSA European Championship - and in so doing secured a return to the main tour - with a 7-2 victory over Kristjan Helgason.
11 June 1993 - MBE FOR HENDRY
In the Queen's Birthday Honours, Stephen Hendry was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for services to snooker.
12 June 2004 - WILLIAMS GETS AN MBE
Mark Williams was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for services to snooker in the Queen's Birthday Honours list.
13 June 2007 - WILLIAMS FINALLY PICKS UP HIS MEDAL!
Three years after the award was announced, Mark Williams was finally invested with his MBE at Buckingham Palace.

AS, lol.... yup... that's Hendry- maybe to remain the greatest name in modern snooker!
Man, there really isn't a single week, where Stephen Hendry hasn't won some trophy or broken some record or picked up some honour, eh? Legend.
