Sheffield United winger David Carney has one eye on the 2010 World Cup in South Africa following Australia's qualification over the weekend.

Carney was an unused substitute in Australia's goalless draw in Qatar which clinched the Socceroos a place in the finals for the third time after their appearances in Germany in both 1974 and 2006.

The 25-year-old, signed by former manager Bryan Robson from Sydney FC in the summer of 2007, has been placed on the transfer list by current Blades boss Kevin Blackwell after spending the final three months of last season on loan at Norwich.
