Ferguson reiterates Posh commitment

Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson has insisted he has "no desire to leave" London Road and is looking forward to the challenge of Championship football at London Road.

Ferguson was denied the chance to speak to Reading before Brendan Rodgers was appointed last week and had been linked with the job at Wigan, but he has now pledged to bring more success to Posh.

He told the club's official website: "With success comes speculation but I have unfinished business at Peterborough and I`m looking forward to the next part of our plan.

"I`m loving my time with the football club and have no desire to leave.

"We are working extremely hard to bring players into the football club. It is common knowledge I wanted to bring in Freddie Sears but it looks like he will sign for Sheffield Wednesday which is a shame.

"But we are working on a striker, midfielder and a centre-back at this moment in time and I don't want to settle for fifth-bottom in the Championship."
