Midfielder Jason Demetriou believes Leyton Orient can use last season as a platform to launch an assault on the top of League One.The Os finished 14th last season after avoiding relegation by four points the year before.
"I think last year was the first time we realised we could compete for top spot in League One," he told the club's official website.
"So this year we know what to expect from ourselves and others and I really believe it is on the cards again."
The 20-year-old, who made 35 starts during the last campaign, is also pleased with his own progress and desperate to get back in action.
"Last year was a good one for me and I just can't wait to get started again. Playing regularly is totally different from being a squad player."
