Northampton manager Stuart Gray is hopeful striker Adebayo Akinfenwa will be fit enough for the home clash with Cheltenham on Saturday.The former Swansea man missed the whole of the pre-season campaign after picking up a calf problem but played 45 minutes of a behind-closed-doors friendly earlier this week and is set to line-up alongside debutant Leon Constantine in attack.

Luke Guttridge is also set for his debut in midfield alongside Danny Jackman and Ryan Gilligan but Giles Coke is out.

The former Mansfield player has an ankle injury and will sit it out while new signing Abdul Osman is ruled out by a one-game suspension carried over from former club Gretna.
