Mullen forced to wait on pair

Fri 08 Aug, 03:00 PM

Walsall boss Jimmy Mullen is sweating on the fitness of experienced duo Clayton Ince and Michael Ricketts for the opener at Yeovil on Saturday.Summer signing Ricketts is being hampered by a slight groin injury and could be forced - along with goalkeeper Ince who has a knee injury - to wait to make his competitive Saddlers debut.

Mullen, who has an otherwise fully-fit squad to choose from, has plenty of attacking options, with new signing Jabo Ibehre expected to start alongside Troy Deeney.

New signings Stephen Roberts, Dwayne Mattis, Sofiene Zaaboub, Chris Palmer, Marco Reich and Stephen Hughes could all feature in a new-look Walsall line-up.
