Art Handed Acomb Aim

Fri 08 Aug, 10:09 AM

Connections of Parisian Art are eyeing a tilt at the Tattersalls Millions Acomb Stakes at York following his impressive debut success.

The Jeremy Noseda-trained colt was fitted with blinkers for his first racecourse visit at Newmarket, but there were no signs of a poor temperament as he ran out a comfortable five-length victor.

He is set to step up to Group Three company for the first time on August 19 and Jimmy Lindley, racing manger for owner Matthew Green, thinks he will take the rise in grade in his stride.

"Jeremy says he has done extremely well since Newmarket and he seems to be strengthening up all the time," said Lindley.

"A few people were wondering why he was fitted with blinkers but he is just the sort of horse who likes to see the countryside!

"There are plenty of good of horses who have worn blinkers in the past and sometimes they just help a horse concentrate on the job they were bred to do.

"Jeremy is really happy with him at the moment and he said it will take a pretty smart one to beat him in the Acomb."
