But he has made something of an impact since stepping into tournament play with a final table showing at last year's Irish Open where he finished ninth for $46,714.

He also cashed at February's European Poker Tour event in Copenhagen, taking 32nd place in the Scandinavian Open.

Eastgate has made two appearances in the Poker Million heats, finishing second in & third last year to just miss out on qualification on both occasions.

He says: "The way I'm going to prepare myself for the final table is by studying the videos and preparing myself mentally for the big pressure on the 9th of November. If I came first it would change my life for good."
