POSITIVES: Derby have a very strong squad with good strength and depth. They have moved many players on but the players they have brought in have improved the quality at their disposal. Nigel Clough is proving to have similar tactical qualities as his legendary father and he'll be looking to improve on their poor performances last season.

NEGATIVES: Derby are on of those teams that never really have an 'average' season. They are either very good or very poor, in other words they can be extremely inconsistent. With so many changes in the squad this season, it might take some time to gel together.

VERDICT: With Nigel Clough set to have his first full season in charge he will ensure a far better Derby performance this time around. Should the team gels together, a play-off place may not be too far away. 10th.

  8. I have had a Derby County season ticket for the past 2 seasons and have bought this seasons one aswell and I do not agree with Lee Croft and Luke Varney in the starting 11 because Chris Porter is better than Luke Varney and Gary Teale was one of our best players last season

  9. This ia very poorly researched article, the starting eleven includes two players who have been told they can leave the club (Martin Albrechtsen & Jordan Stewart) rob hulse is likely to miss the start of the season do to injury & our managers name is nigel clough. was this article written by a forest fan? ie someone who knows nowt about our club!!

  11. I am certain we will finish in the top 10, we have an excellent start to the fixture list and if we play to out full potential should be one of the early leaders. Dont think much of the suggested starting 11.
Davies has had an excellent pre-season and Teale had a great end to last season. Pearson and Leacock will also have huge roles to play
