Principe De Asturias Rally Ready For Action

Mon 08 Sep, 01:55 PM

The finishing touches are being put to the Principe de Asturias Rally, the next round of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge and an all-new addition to the series.

The event will run over asphalt in the central and eastern areas of Spain's Principality of Asturias, with the shakedown being held at Llanera Council this Thursday, followed by two days of competition on Friday 12 and Saturday 13 September.

The first day will have nine special stages, three being run twice and one to be run three times, with a route similar to last year's Spanish Championship event. This makes for a total of 573.54 kilometres, of which 161.73 km are competitive runs.

The second day, featuring two runs over three different stages, will have a total of 298.94 kilometres, 88.4 of them against the clock.

The scrutineering, start, finish, prize giving ceremony, rally HQ and press office will be situated at Oviedo while the Service Park moves to the Centro Deportivo de La Morgal in Llanera.
