England's itinerary has been confirmed for their away tour against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates early next year.

England will play three Tests, four one-day internationals and three Twenty20s as part of the series which will be played in the Middle East because of the problems associated with touring Pakistan.

England are due to arrive in the UAE on January 3 and will play two three-day warm-up games before the first Test in Dubai a fortnight later. The second Test will be played at Abu Dhabi before a return to Dubai for the final match of the series.

The two-month tour will conclude with three Twenty20 internationals as England look to gain match practice ahead of their world title defence in Sri Lanka later in the year.

The ICC have prevented teams from touring Pakistan since a Sri Lanka team bus was ambushed by gunmen in Lahore in March 2009.

England schedule:

Test series: 1st Test (Dubai - January 17), 2nd Test (Abu Dhabi - January 25), 3rd Test (Dubai - February 3).

ODI series: 1st ODI (Abu Dhabi - February 13), 2nd ODI (Abu Dhabi - February 15), 3rd ODI (Dubai - February 18), 4th ODI (Dubai - February 21).

Twenty20 series: 1st T20 (Dubai - February 23), 2nd T20 (Dubai - February 25), 3rd T20 (Abu Dhabi - February 27).
