Sevilla must not get too carried away after Sunday's surprise win over Real Madrid or with their recent run of good form, according to coach Manolo Jimenez.

The Andalusians stunned Real with a superb performance to win 2-1 at the Sanchez Pizjuan, their seventh straight victory in all competitions, and are level on 15 points with Real in La Liga, three behind champions Barcelona.

"You have to keep aspiring for more, we have achieved absolutely nothing yet," Jimenez said.

"We have won seven matches in a row which is great but we are going for eight now in the knowledge that at some point a defeat will come," he added.

Jimenez said Sevilla looked capable of competing with Barca and Real for titles even though their annual budget of around 100 million euros was only about a quarter the size of their two rivals'.

To stand any chance of winning a first Spanish league crown since their only one in 1945-46, Sevilla would need Barca to have a bad patch and the Andalusians would have to maintain top form, he added.

"It's the only chance because we need to get more than 90 points," he said.

"Our work will have to constantly be at 100 per cent to be able to compete with the big budgets of Madrid and Barca."
