Ross McCormack admits he has a tough task to force his way back into the Cardiff team but insists he will seize any chance that comes.
The striker made a brief substitute appearance against Watford on Saturday following six weeks out with a hamstring injury. But with Dave Jones' side flying, having scored 10 goals in their last two matches, competition for places in attack is intense.
"I'll grab my opportunity and score goals, no matter what position I play in," he told Walesonline.
"My challenge is to be ready to play wherever selected. But I'll have to bide my time right now because Whitts (Peter Whittingham) and Burkey (Chris Burke) are both doing really well wide in midfield.
"Then if I look in attack both Chops (Michael Chopra) and Jay (Bothroyd) are in form.
"There's no doubt about it. I'll have to wait for my chance, But, believe me, I'll be ready when that comes. I'll be patient, but I'll grab any opportunity."
