Real Madrid held off a late fightback by city rivals Atletico to win 3-2 in a top-drawer Liga derby clash at the Vicente Calderon.
Real were leading 3-0 when defender Sergio Ramos was sent off, with Atletico scoring twice in quick succession before Iker Casillas earned his team a vital win with a point-blank save from Sergio Aguero in injury time.
Until Ramos's 66th-minute dismissal, it had seemed that Real were in total control, dominating a lacklustre Atletico who defended atrociously at times.
Kaka opened the scoring with a trademark strike from the edge of the box into the top corner on five minutes, while Marcelo added a second with a rocket from a seemingly impossible angle 20 minutes later.
Gonzalo Higuain was gifted a third on 64 minutes after shocking defending from Luis Perea, although soon afterwards Real were reduced to 10 men when Sergio Ramos was shown a straight red card for a last-man foul on Sergio Aguero.
Atletico found the spirit they had lacked until that point and swarmed forward, with the introduction of livewire Argentine striker Aguero making the difference for the hosts.
Diego Forlan pulled one back with 11 minutes remaining after a sweet give-and-go with Tomas Ujfalusi, while Forlan set pulses racing for both sets of fans when he shrugged off a pathetic challenge from Pepe to drill past Casillas.
But the Spain keeper proved the hero when he saved with his legs from Aguero in the second minute of injury time.
Madrid keep the gap on Liga leaders Barcelona to one point, while Atletico stay 18th.

What a goalfest made by south americans!
casillas my hero....
thanks for the stoppage time save
=)
mayur.madridista...muppets....last year's treble winning squad was 75% homegrown players...hahahahahha...not 80m,65m,30m players...
100% pure football
hats off to both teams
5 players were so shining
kaka, simao, lass, marcelo and aguero
on other hand some erore from
pepe, ramos, pablo and pereia
both teams have the best strikers but also they need to work hard at the back (diffence)
Mr Giggs! The way I remember it, Alex didn't give birth to players. He also bought 'em. And a few years back Barcelona bought everyone in sight.
What do you all think of Real Madrid, will they conquer the world given their second coming of the Gallacticos Era or just a bunch of $$$$$$ grabbers???....
thumb up=Conquer the world
thumb down=$$$$$$ grabbers

I came aross an age-gap site called ~~~ Agegapmingle--C O M ~~~ It's a nice place for Younger Women and Older Men, or Older Women and Younger Men, to interact with each other. Age gap is not problem there. You may check out or tell your friends.

well well well, I thought Madrid would win 4-o or smth, but than
suddenly come in mr Sergio Ramos, whith a knive in his hand, and stubs
one of the Atleti's players LOOL But that was only begining, my boys
for some reason thought, that the game is over, and the wistle is up,
so they stop playing, it was a good luck mr Cassilias was
at his best, as usual, and it ended up with MAdrid
o n the top of Atletico. ..So I Congrotulate all the madridistas
including me with this win, and...hopefully your girlfriends are
Barcelona fans, so you can celebrate double double tonight LOOL ))))))))))
