Stockport boss Gary Ablett is hoping that his side's comfortable 5-0 FA Cup victory against Ryman Premier League minnows Tooting will give them some much-needed confidence.
The Hatters have been struggling in League One and slipped into the relegation zone last weekend after a home defeat against Norwich, but goals from Peter Thompson, David Poole, Carl Baker and a brace from Paul Turnbull averted any potential unwanted cup shock headlines.
Ablett said: "We knew we had to be as professional as we could going into the game, and I think we've done that well.
"We showed good authority from the start and a couple of our goals came just at the right time.
"It was good to get one early, then the third came just at the right time shortly before half-time as Tooting were starting to press.
"The five goals we got should bring us some much-needed confidence though. The lads have got a couple of days off now, they deserve it as we've had a tough couple of weeks."
