Paul Sturrock hailed Rory Fallon after his third goal of the season extended Plymouth's unbeaten run to three Championship matches and hauled them out of the bottom three in the process.
Recalled striker Fallon side-footed home from 10 yards to give Argyle a 2-1 win over Doncaster. His second-half winner came after Dean Shiels had cancelled out Alan Judge's opener, with Rovers captain Martin Woods seeing red in the 50th minute for a second bookable offence.
Sturrock said: "Rory works best in their box. That's where he is going to get goals, because of his height.
"That's three goals he's got in the last five starts for us and he's proving to be a real handful."
He added: "Doncaster are a difficult team to play against, difficult to break down. If you go out of shape against them you lose, which has happened to us before.
"I thought we were very disciplined. It was always going to be a tight game and I did feel that the chances we created meant we slightly shaded it as far as the result was concerned."
